The Square is a collection of four buildings located on the Plateau de Kirchberg. The architects wanted to approach the design of the buildings from both an aesthetic and ethical point of view.

The aesthetic identity of the four office buildings is based on a dialogue between glass, steel and large, sometimes curved ‘terracotta’ veils. This gives the complex a strong and coherent identity while highlighting an architectural expression particular to each building.

The ethical approach integrates both environmental and human concerns. The offices offer the occupants a high level of quality in terms of comfort and ergonomics. The buildings have been designed to make them especially economical in terms of heat consumption and air conditioning. The technology used for the mainly glass façade is based on the active double skin principle.
